Cynthia A. Bates, CPA, Managing Member

Cynthia A. (Cindy) Bates, CPA is in her thirty-seventh year of practice.

Following her graduation from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, in January 1982, Cindy began her career at Baird, Kurtz & Dobson.  She left Baird, Kurtz & Dobson in July 1983 to establish Bates CPAs, P.C. (a full service CPA firm) with Terry Bates. She became majority shareholder and managing principal of Bates CPAs, P.C. February 1, 2009.

Cindy is a member of the American Institute of CPAs; member of the Missouri Society of CPAs; president of Above Par Warriors Foundation, Inc., member of the finance committee of Waterford Villas Association, Lake St. Louis, MO.

Over the years the clients have appreciated the continued personal contact with principals of the firm regarding their respective accounts.  Along with her extensive tax and small business experience, she has supervised audits in several industries and has a strong background with government and hospitality industries. She has also been responsible for implementing the quality control system at Bates CPAs, P.C. and BATES CPA LLC.

Cindy has recently served as an Ambassador for Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce; is a past volleyball coach with Attack Volleyball Club, St. Louis, MO;  is a past member of the Northwest Chamber board of directors, also serving as past co-chairman of its two annual golf tournaments during 2012 and 2011; is a past member of the St. Peters Chamber of Commerce board of directors, membership committee and special events committee, also serving as past chairman of its golf tournament; past-treasurer of RoAnda Beach Condo Association, Lake Ozark, MO; a past member of the board of directors of the YMCA, O’Fallon, MO, also serving as chairman of its member/marketing committee; past treasurer of the St. Charles branch of the American Association of University Women; past treasurer of the St. Louis Interbranch Council of the American Association of University Women; past member of the board of finance at Immanuel Lutheran Church of St. Charles.
